New CHURCHES can be
INTIMIDATING…

We know because we've all been there. We've designed this page to help you prepare for your first visit to Calvary Homestead so you will know exactly what to expect. On a typical Sunday morning at Homestead you'll find many people at different places with their relationship with God.
Chances are, there will be many other newcomers just like you. Whether you're new to church, or a longtime Jesus-follower, we have a place for you.

WHAT’S A SERVICE LIKE?

Our services last about 80 minutes.

We begin with 15 to 20 minutes of live music. The lyrics are displayed on screens, and you are welcome to sing along or simply listen. We use music as worship to express our love for God and gratitude for all He has done.

After worship, our pastor shares a Bible-centered sermon designed to help you understand Scripture, know Jesus and apply what we read to our everyday lives. The teaching is practical, relevant, and encouraging as we grow together in our faith and pursuit of God.

Not a morning person? That’s ok! We have a coffee shop at our La Mirada campus, and complementary drip coffee at our Buena Park location. First time visitors get a coupon for a free drink at our La Mirada campus coffee shop!
Coffee Shop closes 5-10 minutes before services begin and will reopen after service

What about the kids?

Homestead Kids

Our kids ministry offers an age-appropriate environment for infants through 5th grade.

We intentionally structure our children's ministry to help children get to know God and learn the Bible and how it relates to Jesus in an age-appropriate way. The lessons are fun and approachable and taught by committed volunteers and staff who serve Jesus by serving you and your kids. Trust us, your kids will love it and learn a lot!

Discipled youth

Our Discipled Youth ministry provides an engaging and welcoming environment for Jr. High and High School students. We create space for real conversations, honest questions, and teaching that speaks directly to what students are walking through right now. Through strong community, intentional discipleship, and leaders who genuinely care, students are challenged to own their faith and live it out with confidence every day.

Youth groups are Sundays at 10 & 11:30 and Wednesday at 7pm.
